IN-GYM UPDATED POLICIES AND PROCEDURES: WINTER 2020

CLEANING/IN-GYM PROCEDURES:

CLEANING/IN-GYM PROCEDURES:

We at The Agility Center care for the safety and welfare of our students. As a result, we have created new policies and procedures in adherence to the guidelines set forth by the CDC, as well as by Montgomery County. Because of this, we are asking that parents do not come into the gym. We have created an internal system that will limit movement of the students while in our facility, thereby helping to enforce the social distancing guidelines of a minimum of 6 ft in all ways, at all times.

What is the process for classes?:

  • Students will be asked to line up in front of the entrance to our facility with their face masks on. One by one student will enter the facility to have their temperature checked using a no-touch thermometer.

  • Each student will be given a number, associated with a cubby located in the lobby 6ft from each other.

  • After taking off their shoes and wiping their feet they will take their gym bag with their water bottle and hand sanitizer into the gym.

  • Each student will then stand on their previously given number before entering the gym with their instructor. Lines in the gym will assist 6 ft apart at all times.

  • Stations are being utilized wherever possible within the gym to keep students from sharing equipment. Equipment will not be shared among students during class whenever possible.

  • Once class is over students will be led by their instructor back into the lobby through a side entrance.

  • Parents will be able to check in at the front door at the end of their child’s class and we will escort each student to meet their parent/guardian.

    How to prepare before arriving:

  • Students are expected to bring a gym bag containing a water bottle, a face covering, and hand sanitizer. The backpack will travel with your student as they travel through the gym.

  • Students are required to wear masks throughout the gym.

  • Parents are encouraged to walk their ninja warrior to the front door of Agility but to stay outside during their class. If parents insist on coming into the facility they will need to adhere to all Agility Center guidelines and safety protocols. Parents will not be allowed to use the bathrooms at The Agility Center.

  • For the safety of our students and our staff, parents are REQUIRED to notify The Agility Center if anyone in their student’s family/household exhibits any symptoms of COVID. In addition, if your child leaves the state, we require that they do not return to classes for the two weeks upon returning in an effort to maintain the safety of our staff and students. They will receive make-ups for any missed classes.

ADDITIONAL CLEANING GUIDELINES:

  • Instructors must wash hands every hour. (If they have classes lasting more than an hour, an administrative staff member will assist with the class while the instructor washes his or her hands)

  • Instructors are responsible for cleaning the equipment used by their students, however, if time is limited we will have additional staff in the facility to ensure that all stations are cleaned between classes.

  • All adults within the facility will be wearing face-coverings. Students will be allowed to take their face-coverings off while on their stations.

  • Everyone entering the gym must have their temperature checked before entering the building (students AND staff).

  • No one (instructors or students) will be allowed in the gym if they are exhibiting a cough or temperature.

  • Staff will be responsible for cleaning high traffic areas once an hour.

  • 2 cleaning stations are set up in the lower gym and the upper gym.

  • Only 1 person is allowed in each bathroom at a time. Bathrooms will be cleaned as frequently as possible, but at a minimum, every hour.

  • Indicators will be used throughout the gym and on the doors of the bathrooms to indicate when the station/lavatory has been used to help guarantee cleanings between uses.
