Our monthly competitions always have new courses and challenges for athletes ages 3 to adults!

June 2017

With the start of summer vacation, we had a smaller pool of athletes competing, but the challenges were just as large! Our competitors climbed up to and crossed a suspended bridge, leaped up to cat grabs above their heads,  and swung their way to the finish via a bundled cargo net stretched across the course.

Athlete Lea from team at Dynamite Tumbling & Cheer swept the 9-10 year old group, winning all events and receiving the Ninja Warrior Champion trophy!

May 2017

This month's battle was between competition "regulars," athletes who competed in the past, and several new contenders, especially in the younger age groups! Laurels were shared equally between the first-timers and old hands, and we were glad to see that even athletes with several competitions under their belts, were challenged by the the mix of untried competitors and new configurations to the courses. The competition reached new heights with a vertical theme this month:  we ratcheted up the suspension course so the athletes had to struggle at a sustained eight-foot elevation and focused our stability course on high jumps and more difficult cat grabs. Our competitors made us proud by taking these challenges head-on and literally running with them!

Highlights

Our biggest group by far was the 7-8 year old competitors, who battled it out with fierceness but didn't forget to have fun and cheer each other on! We were impressed that competitors ages 7 and up were incredibly unfazed by the daunting stability obstacle course, which included a huge cat grab leap up a 12 foot high block tower. Families joined the staff to toast these amazing athletes at awards, where everyone was celebrating being a winner - not by getting a medal, but by taking on the courses and showing true grit!

March 2017

For the first time, we had too many athletes competing in an age group to judge all together! Our 9-10 year olds competed in two waves, and we also had more competitors overall in the 3-4, 5-6, and 7-8 age groups this month. We were thrilled to have so many young athletes filling our lobbies and families filling our spectator stands!

HIGHLIGHTS

This month, we had a great mix of competitors from previous months joining new athletes in taking on the ninja challenge, including competitive gymnasts from Dynamite Gymnastics Center lining up to test their mettle against the odds! We cheered on our competition's first Ninja Warrior champion: Dynamite Gymnastics Center's TNT Competitive Team athlete Alemdar, who won all three events for his age group!

We're envisioning future ninja warrior competitive teams from each DynamiteGym doing battle...

February 2017

ABOUT THE February COMPETITION

This competition featured more visitors from out of town and older athletes than we've enjoyed in previous events! Our younger competitors were inspired at seeing how much the bigger kids and young adults were able to accomplish on our courses and our spectators saw how much fun this event can be when an entire family turns out to compete!

Highlights

With the addition of visitors, first-time competitors, and older athletes, this month's event had a super-fun vibe that encouraged us to keep the party going as long as we could! Our post-awards open gym for the competitors was the scene for some awesome moves played out on the floor and trampolines as judges, coaches, and competitors let loose and had a ball!

January 2017

With our 3rd competition on January 21st, we introduced a new challenge for our youngest athletes: the preschool Rock-Climbing wall. All the challengers took on our version of the net bridge and rope glide, a balance bridge, and hill climbs.  For our older athletes, January's Suspended Course included traversing suspended obstacles such as a Big Boulder and ended with a Final Rope challenge.

Highlights

It was amazing to see how our athletes ages 7 and up attacked the bungee/Tarzan Rope fusion and 20-foot high horizontal rope traverse, ending with entering a vertically hung tube to a huge drop onto a resi-pit!

December 2016

On December 17, 2016, TAC hosted the second Ninja Warrior competition with our first challengers in the 13-14 year group!

Our youngest competitor, Liam, took on those ropes and hill climbs like a champ!
